If you have more than one kid and lots of stuff while traveling, you must consider this #Keenz7SStrollerWagon
When our family go traveling abroad, the first thing that my hubby and I will consider packing up with is a baby stroller as we usually travel on our own, no tour service, mostly using public transport ššš
, and walking a lot so kids can be sometimes too tired, asking us to carry them š, also they need a nap during the day while we are sightseeing. If the destination is stroller (or wheelchair) friendly, we won't hesitate to bring it with. Even better, the stroller can help loading shopping stuff too.
Last year in Japan š, the first time we need the strollers for 2 kids as my younger son is too big to carry around in a baby carrier while his older sis is not big enough to walk on her feet all day. However, we don't want to push and pull two strollers, even a double stroller that will make me feel like I'm pushing a clown car around everywhere when often kids don't want to be trapped all the time in it. We chose a stroller that has a connecting board and saddle so one kid can rest in the stroller and the other one can stand or sit behind. But using for long distance, it didn't work. The kid behind can't see anything in sitting position, she/he must keep standing on board or sit turning backwards that can make her/him unbalanced, once my son fell down from a saddle š.
This year in Taiwan, we consider buying a new stroller and Keenz 7S Stroller Wagon is our favourite choice with its function for my hubby and nice design in my mind (absolutely, the Keenz is a head-turner, everywhere we have taken it, at least a dozen people asked us about it, a man even snapped many pix and a woman asked for more info as she would buy one for her huge dog š¶, lol.)
At first time I saw it, I could say I fall in love with it due to its cool look; durable aluminum frame, tough backpack-type polyester fabric and faux leather handle bars. But at first time I tried lifting it, I admitted that it was quite heavy for myself at 5 ft height and surely, it would be hard for me to lift it up and down from my car. Anyway, this isn't a problem for US moms from their reviews, (Yes, this stroller wagon is very well-known in US, its origin in South Korea though.) and it's not much differently bulky from any double stroller. To push and pull or normally use it as a stroller, it is well functioning. Swiveling front wheels and big rear wheels with spring suspension are easy to control and can glide over uneven sidewalks or popped up stairs, also smoothly run on every surface even on a beach! (with optional beach wheels). Also there are one-step on/off brakes separately at two front wheels and back. The handle bars on both sides can be amazingly adjusted up and down at every 10 angle in between, depending on your most comfortable position at your height so easily and securely, both parents can help altogether move it. When not in use, it is very easy to fold - just like a pack'n'play; not to mention how spacious room where my 5 and 3 year old kids can fit in and spend time doing activities on their own like playpen on the go. If I had another one younger kid š¶, it would be definitely a snuggle fit, but still totally doable though.
You can buy Keenz 7S Stroller Wagon in Thailand at 17,900 THB in four colors; black, grey, green and purple. Mine came with a storage basket which can hold a giant diaper bag, and underneath is mesh shoe storage (how thoughtful the designer is!š), the top canopy that can unzips to create a mesh opening on top (I like this because it shields the kids, but it also gives me a better view of them inside the wagon). Both long sides of the canopy have full curtains rolled and concealed at the edge, which can be used for shade or privacy. But when you donāt need the canopy or want to fold the stroller up, not only are the canopy posts completely retractable (the drop right down into the stroller frame), the canopy itself folds up into a tiny package and fits into its own bag. There is also a storage pouch on the opposite side that has three pockets for a more organized storage option. However, a stroller cover (750 THB), a cup holder (550 THB), and a cooler (unsold here) which are offered at no extra cost by a distributor in your country must be afforded by yourself here in Thailand, also a ton of features are available to buy such as a mattress (2,900 THB), a rain cover (2,850 THB), and a mosquito net (1,200 THB).
Compared to a double stroller, I don't think it is pricey, not to mention it can be used as a wagon too with a 110 lbs (49.8 kg) weight capacity šŖ. Many moms, including me, take kids to the grocery store and use it like a cart by removing the top canopy and using the storage basket for our groceries. Also it is suitable from birth like a playpen. Parents can change diapers inside š¼ when restrooms aren't available. and when the children can sit up, two five-point safety harnesses on each side of the wagon can help as seat belts.
Well, you might say using it in Taiwan is another circumstance. So let me summarize the Pros & Cons of Keenz 7S Stroller Wagon if you want to bring it to Thailand or buy a new one and use here;
Pros
š It's a stroller and a wagon! 2-3 kids can comfortably sit, sleep and play in just one cart while on wheels with durable aluminum frame at a weight capacity of 110 lbs (49.8 kg).
š Very fashionable and functional with 4-wheel suspension, one step on/off brakes, the canopy and curtain, two 5-point safety harnesses on each side, adjustable dual handles and many storage options. So kids can feel like gliding even on usual rough footpath or popped up steps in Thailand and a gap between train and platform is not a problem (Read also how to ride BTS skytrain with a baby stroller), while parents can help push and pull the stroller altogether no matter up or down the slope and we can prepare as much as stuff we need on the go.
š Lightweight (32 lbs or 14.5 kg) compared to another double stroller, and easy to fold with buit-in locking straps, able to fit in the trunk of most compact car.
š Removable fabric and can be machine-washed.
Cons
š¤ On 365 sunny and hot days in Thailand, if you go outdoors, the canopy must be always on and the stroller will not be well ventilated. I grip a mini clip fan at the stroller edge to solve this problem though.
š¤ It's light but a bit too bulky for some places. At Suvarnabhumi airport, it cannot be loaded on plane as normal baggage but has to be checked-in as oversized luggage, not to mention to use it until the gate. In Taipei, it cannot pass through TRA railway door or at Disney World, this kind of stroller wagon is banned to help ease congestion since last May 2019.
